Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. By engaging in services with me—Northern Lights Coaching & Consulting (NLCC)—you’re agreeing to the following terms:
1. This is not therapy
Coaching and consulting are not intended to diagnose, assess, or treat mental health conditions, and are not a fit for those currently in crisis. Instead, I offer warm, collaborative support that’s present-centered, practical, and grounded in mindfulness, somatics, and deep listening. Although I have a background as a licensed mental health counselor, my coaching is non-clinical. I don’t offer diagnoses, assessments, or treatment for mental health conditions, and I do not work with people who are in crisis. If that’s what you need, I’m happy to refer you to someone who can help.
2. Coaching is collaborative
My approach is grounded in trust and agency. I do not make decisions for you, nor do I guarantee specific outcomes. You’re in the driver’s seat—I’m here to support your journey, not lead it for you. I trust you to bring your concerns, feedback, and goals forward in our work together and to advocate for what you need. The space we create is a wonderful practice ground to try out new ways of relating and to ask for what you need in a safe space.
3. Booking & cancellation
I value your time and mine, and I’ve set aside dedicated space to support your growth and wellbeing. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please do so at least 24 hours in advance.
For single sessions, professional consultations, or organizational bookings, cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice—or sessions missed without notice—will be invoiced at the full session fee.
For package clients, a late cancellation or no-show will result in that session being deducted from your remaining package balance.
I understand that life is unpredictable, and I may offer one excused late cancel or no-show in the event of a true emergency or extenuating circumstance—but this is the exception, not the norm. These policies help keep my practice sustainable, respectful, and dependable for all involved.

4. Privacy & Confidentiality
Everything you share in our coaching sessions is treated with care and held in confidence. I do not share your personal information or session content with anyone else without your permission.
While coaching is not therapy and our conversations are not legally privileged, I maintain a safe and supportive space for you. If any situation arises where your well-being or the well-being of someone close to you could be at risk, I will work with you collaboratively to ensure safety and explore supportive resources.
I may take written notes or doodles in session to help me track our conversation during sessions, but these notes do not include any identifying information. The only personal information I store electronically is your contact details and, if applicable, your card on file for payment purposes. Card information is securely stored through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor, and used solely for scheduling, billing, and session management. Occasionally, I may consult with other professionals about my coaching practice, but any information shared in this way is non-identifiable.
5. Payment & Fees
Credit/debit cards: Payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. When you provide your card information, Stripe encrypts and stores it securely; I do not have access to your full card number or security code. By providing your card information, you authorize NLCC to keep your card on file and to charge it for agreed-upon coaching sessions, packages, or outstanding balances. Charges will only occur with your consent—such as after a scheduled session or as outlined in your payment plan—and you will receive an email receipt for each transaction. In accordance with the cancellation policy, if a session is missed or cancelled without the required notice, the card on file may be charged the applicable fee as noted in item 3 above.
IDEAL or SEPA bank transfers (EU clients): Payments are invoiced through Money Bird, a secure EU-based invoicing system. You will receive an invoice for each session or package, and payment instructions will be included. All financial data is handled securely and used solely for scheduling, billing, and session management.
You may request removal of your saved card at any time by contacting me directly or by updating your payment information before the next scheduled charge.
My sliding scale ranges from 80 to 150 euros and I ask you to choose a rate that reflects your current financial situation. I suggest higher income earners and those who are more financially resourced to choose a higher rate so that I can offer more accessible rates to those who need to choose on the lower end of the scale due to being lower income, hardship, and/or less access to financial stability.
6. Feedback & Complaints
I care deeply about the quality of our work together and want this to be a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported. If something isn’t working for you—whether it’s about our dynamic, a particular session, or anything else—I encourage you to bring it to me directly. I welcome feedback with openness and humility, and I will listen with care and curiosity to understand what happened and how you’re feeling.
If I’ve made a mistake, I will take responsibility, be curious and open to hear more about your experience, and do my best to repair and make it right based on what what you tell me would make it right.
If you are still not satisfied with my efforts to repair and it still feels like something is unresolved, I will be happy to engage the services of a skilled mediator trained in non-violent communication or authentic relating, at my expense, to support us in reaching a resolution.
7. Refunds
If, for any reason, you choose to discontinue working together and you have unused sessions remaining in a package, I will gladly refund the balance. Your well-being and satisfaction matter to me, and I want you to feel empowered, respected, and supported throughout our work. Please note that packages must be used withing six months of purchase.
